Eric Wood's retirement from football will not impede on his charitable contributions.
The nine year NFL vet announced on Friday that he will be stepping away from football due to an injury.
Wood's foundation, The Eric Wood Fund, has been heavily involved in Children's Hospital and specifically Stone's Buddies, an organization that supports families coping with chronic and life threatening illnesses.
The Fund has allowed many children who are in and out of the hospital the chance to be a normal kid and enjoy life when they aren't receiving treatment. Wood will be continuing this program during retirement.
Since Wood's announcement many Bills fans have been donating to the fund in Woods' honor in $70 increments. Donation information can be found here.
