“I have a lot of distractions but there's not one day I don't think about Tab,” Michaela Rowe told 7 Eyewitness News.

It’s been almost one month since a car crash on Center Road in Colden changed three lives forever.

I saw her weeks before the accident and we had a huge gathering up at Emery park and everything just felt so right.”

On April 12th everything changed.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene of a two car crash. After finding a car in a ditch, 19-year-old Tabitha Trautwein was taken to ECMC. The man in the backseat, 28-year-old Chauncy Kloiber, died at the scene.

“The investigation I'd kind of say through my eyes is at a standstill,” Rowe said.

At a standstill because sheriff's deputies say there weren't any witnesses -- but investigators say they have received surveillance video from the scene.

Trautwein, a Holland High School graduate, has remained at ECMC since the crash.

She has since been removed from a ventilator, is out of a medically induced coma, and is slowly opening her eyes. . .  but her medical bills are adding up.

“Obviously any family in this situation would need as much help as they can get.”

Rowe has started a Go Fund Me page to help the family with costs.
