A former Amherst resident has been sentenced for her role in a plot to murder her ex-husband.
Debra Arno, 58, was sentenced Wednesday to time she already served, which was 21 months, according to federal prosecutors.
Late last year, Arno plead guilty to to solicitation of interstate murder for hire. Authorities said she offered Lauren Frye 57, of Kenmore $20,000 to kill Arno's ex-husband and his new wife.
Officials say a search of Frye's apartment turned up three shotguns, photos of the couple, a diagram of their home and a schedule of their activities.
Frye was previously convicted and sentenced to 18 months in prison.
