Holding back tears of disappointment Aleasa Foust is determined to host her cancer fundraiser event somehow.

“I think I cried for about 3 hours yesterday. All night long all I could think about was, what am I going to do to keep this event going,” Foust said.

The woman booked the second floor at the M.J. Brounshidle Post 205 American Legion on Delaware Avenue in the Town of Tonawanda.

She was planning to host a Zumba-thon on September 15th to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

“My aunt is a multiple myeloma survivor and my father-in-law is as well. So it’s super disappointing that we can’t support them,” Foust said.

But, the post canceled the rest of this year’s bookings after a birthday party brawl on Saturday.

I reached out to the post for comment. A representative decided to go on camera. However, he told 7 Eyewitness News the decision was made as a recommendation from the Town of Tonawanda which owns the facility.

Since Foust can’t use the post she’s looking for another venue within the Town of Tonawanda to use for her Zumba-thon.

“With it being 3 weeks out as you can imagine a lot of places are already booked,” Foust said.
