A Buffalo woman who admitted attacking a 17-year-old girl with a meat cleaver is going to jail.
Mercedes Rosado, 46, was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday. She pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery earlier this year.
Prosecutors say she attacked Jaqualine Rosado, no relation, with a meat cleaver on August 22nd of last year. The victim suffered cuts to her face and a broken nose.
Mercedes Rosado then made off with the victim's shoes and purse.
In addition to jail time, she has been ordered to stay away from the victim until 2033.
