Woman critically injured in Newfane crash

A woman is in critical condition after being ejected from her vehicle during a crash in Newfane on Tuesday.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened on East Lake Road around 2:30 p.m.

An investigation shows a vehicle traveling westbound crossed over the center median and struck a vehicle heading eastbound.

The eastbound vehicle rolled several times.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, 62-year-old Linda Brown, was ejected.

Both drivers were airlifted by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center.

The driver of the westbound vehicle is in critical condition and the driver of the eastbound vehicle, 59-year-old Frederick Justice, is being treated for minor injuries.
