A 41-year-old woman accused of setting a fire that killed two men at a Buffalo rooming house has been convicted of two counts of murder and one count of arson.

An Erie County Court jury deliberated just over an hour before returning the verdict against Al-Shariyfa Robinson on Thursday.

Prosecutors say she set the fire that tore through a building on the city's east side in October 2015, killing 58-year-old Edward Hughes and 64-year-old James Hodges.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says Robinson faces a maximum of 50 years to life when she's sentenced on Jan. 4.
