A Jamestown woman has been charged with felony driving while intoxicated (DWI) after she was pulled over for speeding in the Village of Mayville.

Chautauqua County deputies pulled over 28-year-old Amber Rasmussen Sunday night just before midnight, after obsverving Rasmussen breaking several traffic laws. Deputies reported Rasmussen had a child under 16-years-old in the vehicle, making the DWI charge an automatic felony.

In addition to the DWI charge, Rasmussen is also accused of speeding, changing lanes unsafely, and driving without a license. She will appear in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.
