The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says a woman has been arrested for threatening to "blow up" a school on Tuesday.
Sheriff James Voutour says 28-year-old Chaqua Bembo was upset during a phone call with administration from Niagara Charter School. where her child attends, around 2 p.m., and threatened to "blow up the school."
Authorities say the school initiated a "hold in place" after the threat and notified the sheriff's office. The school was searched and nothing suspicious was found.
Deputies say Bembo is charged with falsely reporting an incident and has been released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on November 10.
