Woman arrested for drinking and driving with 4-month-old baby in the car

A woman was arrested in a McDonald's parking lot after deputies discovered she was driving under the influence with an infant in the car.

Niagara County Sheriff's Office says Shayonna Miller, 27, ran a red light at the intersection of Niagara Falls Boulevard and Military Road. When deputies pulled her over, they determined she was intoxicated and found a four-month-old baby in the car.

Miller was charged with Leandra's Law aggravated DWI, aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, unlicensed operation, switched plates, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child and passing a red light.

Deputies say Child Protective Services was contacted for further investigation.

Miller is being held at the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $750 bail.
