On Wednesday, The Buffalo News and Tops Friendly Markets celebrated a special day with a special edition newspaper - the 2017 Kids Day edition.
Thousands of volunteers braved the rainy weather to sell papers for one dollar in support of Women and Children's Hospital, Cradle Beach and Children of Western New York.
This year marks 35 years since the Buffalo News first started selling these special edition papers to raise money for those in need.
In total, over the past three decades, Kids Day contributions have totaled $4.6 million dollars - a number the community hopes will only continue to grow.
Kids Day papers are being sold at major intersections throughout Western New York and at Tops Friendly Markets.
