Members of the WNY Peace Center and New Yorkers Against Gun Violence are planning a "Never Again Vigil" for March 1st. The vigil starts at 7pm at Holy Trinity Church in Buffalo.

The people in the groups organizing the event say they're inspired by what's happening in Florida. Not by the shooting in Parkland, but what the students are doing there.

“That re-energizes me and it re-energizes everyone in the movement to do something, be something positive,” said Paul McQuillen with New Yorkers Against Gun Violence.

They're calling for stricter gun laws, but not the complete removal of guns.

Some students with group say they plan on attending the March for our Lives rally in Washington D.C. on March 24th.
