BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo River is set to welcome "RiverBend on the Blueway" on May 1st, 2020, a site that will be dedicated to kayaking, music, food and entertainment.
“That concept we think will be ultimately transformational," said Early Ketry, Riverworks founder and primary investor in Riverbend. “I think we’ll all be surprised at what Buffalo looks like in this area over the next 10 years.”
The RiverBend site will be located upriver from Buffalo Riverworks, across from the Tesla plant and next to the South Park bridge.
Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper's Blueway project has been the catalyst behind the Buffalo River's restoration. Ketry will be investing $6 million into the site.
