BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Beer and bathing suits, it's a winning combination that's coming to Buffalo's Black Rock community.

Developer Rocco Termini and designer Benjamin Siegel, confirm to 7 Eyewitness News they are in the process of creating a pool club on Chandler Street in the city.

“We need to appeal to all types. I don’t think with a three month season you can rely on on group of people," Siegel said. “We really try to fit an entire year’s worth of activities into three months here and I think people are dying for something like this.”

The club is expected to be accessible for anyone in the community with a cover fee and also offer private memberships.

At this point, the plan is to break ground this time next year with a tentative opening in June of 2020.

"We're trying to make Chandler Street a destination and I feel this is really the way to do so," said Termini in a phone call with WKBW Monday evening.

Siegel tells us the aim is to create a relaxed oasis within the confines of this heavily industrialized area.

The new pool club is set to be situated directly next door to the new Thin Man Brewery at 166 Chandler Street.
