Did you get a ticket for parking along a bus route in Buffalo overnight? You aren't alone AND you don't have to pay that ticket.
The Buffalo Division of Traffic Enforcement issued several tickets to residents along Erie St., Sunday night into Monday morning, in error, since the Winter parking rules were suspended until this Tuesday. These tickets may have been issued incorrectly in other parts of the City as well.
A City spokesperson told Eyewitness News that the tickets will be cleared by Traffic Enforcement. This only applies to tickets issued for parking on a bus route, not other infractions. Residents who received this tickets will be contacted by City officials.
The Winter parking rules DO go into effect early Tuesday.
If you have questions you are urged to call 311 or the Traffic Enforcement office at (716) 851-5182.
