Williamsville Dunkin Donuts remains closed

The doors remain locked at a popular Dunkin Donuts in the Village of Williamsville as of Friday evening.

Late last year, the Erie County Health Department discovered rodent droppings inside the Main Street location and also found the business did not have effective measures to keep the rodents away.

A second complaint last month prompted the health department to return and the restaurant voluntarily closed at that time.

Company officials we spoke with then told us they would reopen in about a week, but so far that has not happened.

The Erie County Health Commissioner has indicated that when the eatery does reopen, it can expect a visit from the county health department to make sure it passes inspection.
