Who is Francis O'Donnell, the man accused Tuesday of holding a woman against her will in an Olean apartment?
That is the question that has investigators scratching their heads after O'Donnell was arraigned on felony kidnapping charges related to the woman's disappearance.
O'Donnell is being held on $30,000 bail and is due back in court later this month.
"This guy has no criminal record," Olean Police Captain Robert Blovsky told 7 Eyewitness News this morning.
7 Eyewitness News also checked with the State Division of Criminal Justice Services to see if O'Donnell was a registered sex offender.
A spokeswoman from the office confirmed that, no, the 61-year-old O'Donnell is not a registered sex offender in New York State.
7 Eyewitness News is headed to Olean to see if we can find out more information on this developing story.
