7 Eyewitness News cameras are there when power comes back on for a Gasport woman who had no electricity for three days - but others won't get power back until the weekend.

National Grid said it hopes to have 90% of customers restored by Friday night.  NYSEG said it is hoping that 90% of its customers will be restored with electricity by 11 p.m. Saturday night.

As of 2 p.m. Friday, National Grid had just under 22,000 customers without power - mostly in Orleans and Genesee Counties.  The power company said since the storm hit on Wednesday March 8th, it has restored over 110,000 customers.

Because some people may not see their electricity back on until this weekend, National Grid will continue to distribute bottled water and dry ice through Saturday at the City of Batavia Fire Department at 18 Evans Street, Batavia; and the Brocton Village Fire Station at 80 Owens Road, Brockport.

NYSEG said it is continuing to evaluate the situation to see if it will continue distributing bottled water and dry ice from a location in the East Aurora Town Park.

Reporter Ed Reilly has more on the efforts to restore power in Niagara County after a destructive wind storm earlier this week left tens of thousands in the dark.
