A JUUL is a small electronic cigarette that has taken the electronic smoking world by storm.

"(We get) multiple calls a day asking about what flavors we have, if we have the product in stock" Joseph Direitinho from the Art of Glass Wholesale said.

JUUL's are about as small as a flash drive and charged via a USB port. They have become incredibly popular over the past year with the last quarter of 2017 seeing JUUL's account for almost 50% of e-cig sales.

In response to the story done by 7EWN a JUUL spokesperson said “JUUL Labs’ mission is to eliminate cigarette smoking by offering existing adult smokers a true alternative to combustible cigarettes. JUUL is not intended for anyone else. We strongly condemn the use of our product by minors, and it is in fact illegal to sell our product to minors. No minor should be in possession of a JUUL product."

JUUL's contain 5% nicotine (the nicotine percentage cannot be changed) which is almost double the normal amount of nicotine found in a standard e-cig.

"(This means they) are more addictive than the other electronic cigarettes we have on the market" Roswell Professor of Oncology Dr. Maciej Goniewicz said.

"If the dose is so high than the product may be as addictive as tobacco cigarettes if not more."

JUUL's have grown in popularity due to the fact that they are very discrete. This has led many young adults to gravitate towards the electronic cigarette.

According to a National Youth Tobacco Survey over 2 million youths were using e-cigarettes in 2016.
