Western New Yorkers living in Matthew's path

It's hurricane Matthew's uncertainty that's the hardest part for Western New Yorkers living in its path, like Dana Lewis.

"I'm worried about my kids that are all over Florida," she said.

Lewis evacuated her home in Cape Canaveral Thursday morning, leaving everything behind.

"I looked around my home, and we may not have a home to come back to. We're leaving everything."

Lewis and her family boarded up their windows and doors and put all furniture up off the floor. They're now staying with family in Orlando.

Matthew is expected to be the most powerful hurricane to hit Florida in more than a decade.

Kristen Bray grew up in Cheektowaga and now teaches in Palm Beach County. This is her first hurricane.

"We'll have a little wind and a little rain, and then a lot," she said.

Bray says supplies at local stores are sold out.
