Ford Future Techs is jump starting the celebration ahead of teacher appreciation week with a special treat. Today the Western New York Ford Dealers announced two local schools will receive Ford vehicles donated by Ford Future Techs.

The winning schools included Genesee Valley Education Partnership in Batavia and Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES CTE Center in Ellicottville

The cars come with technical and computer support equipment, and be used to promote student interest in the automotive industry as a career, and help prepare them if they continue down that track.

Ford Future Tech is a philanthropic campaign created by the Western New York Ford Dealers that invites local schools with Automotive Technology programs to apply for a chance to get pre-owned cars to use in their curriculums.

Today marked the third year for the Ford Future Tech initiative.
