Area that flooded this year prepares for more

West Seneca is no stranger to flooding, but the recent rise in temps after four days of straight snow is requiring extra efforts.

The town of West Seneca is bracing for flooding, an area that has been hard hit by two blizzards, two rounds of flooding and one giant snowstorm, all in 2014.

The Lexington Green neighborhood that was drowned in water earlier this year is now bracing for more.

National Guard members as well as members of the Air Force are on the ground, in West Seneca clearing snow from the streets.

Most of the snow is being piled at the old Seneca Mall site on Slade Rd, off of Ridge. Snow is being brought in by the truckload.

Town officials say they've done everything they can to prepare for this most recent round of flooding, and now it's up to mother nature.

Residents in the Lexington Green neighborhood are asking for prayers, as some have not even finished cleaning up from flooding earlier this year.
