Good news for fans of Wegmans: The Rochester-based supermarket chain is getting ready to open a two-story store. The bad news? It's hundreds of miles from Buffalo.

WHAM reports Wegmans will open a 146,500 square foot location Sunday morning inside the Natick Mall in Natick, Massachusetts about 20 miles southwest of Boston.

The grocery store will occupy the first floor, while a bar, restaurants, prepared foods, catering and a floral shop will spread out across the second floor.

The new store is expected to employ more than 400 full and part-time workers.

Wegmans, which has 11 stores in the Buffalo region, has more than 90 stores across six states including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia and New Jersey.

The chain also recently announced plans to open a store in Raleigh, which will be its first in the Carolinas.
