If you woke up to tons of coupons from Wegmans in your email, it's too good to be true.
A glitch in Wegmans' system sent duplicate emails to Wegmans Shopper's Club members with more than $200 worth of coupons, according to The Buffalo News.
But, according to the newspaper, shoppers will only be able to redeem each coupon once for each item.
The Buffalo News said Wegmans was able to quickly address the problem when employees and customers caught on and notified the company. The store apologized to its customers, who took the news in stride.
We’re excited about digital coupons, but that’s not why we sent so many emails to some customers. It was a system glitch and we apologize.
