Social media strikes again.
Livingston County Police report Jason Korts, a 41-year-old man from Webster, contacted a 15-year-old girl on an internet app called "Whisper."
The County's Sheriff's office had conducted a week long investigation, discovering Korts did meet with the Livingston girl on August 16th.
That was when her parents contacted local police.
Police then took the girl's phone and continued the conversation with Korts for several days. Investigators set up a meeting with the man on August 23rd. When Korts arrived in the Town of York, he was arrested by County investigators.
He was arrested for two felony counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child.
Korts was turned over to the Livingston County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
