On Saturday, the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Unit from the hospital will be holding a Head Injury Prevention Education event at Kissing Bridge.
Brand new ski helmets will be distributed starting at 9:00 a.m. to the first 75 kids in attendance.
Traumatic brain injury accounts for 50-88 percent of skiing and snowboarding fatalities in those not wearing a helmet.
