Water main break on Sheridan is 14th in 5 days

Sheridan Drive is reopened after another water main break.

The break was at Sheridan Drive and Sunrise Boulevard in Amherst.

Crews are on the scene attending to the issue. They say a six inch cast iron pipe broke and is probably very old.

There is little to no disruption in water service.

This is the fourteenth water main break in the last five days.
