UPDATE:  According to a representative of the NFWB, the water pressure has been restored to Niagara Falls High School and school administrators have been updated.

NFHS will remain closed on Tuesday. But officials are not sure if classes will resume on Wednesday.

Original: A water main break at 47th Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard in the City of Niagara Falls has caused Niagara Falls High School to remain closed for three days.

On Friday, December 15th, the Niagara Falls Water Board first identified the break on a 36-inch line. The break has also caused low water pressure for some local neighborhoods and businesses.

The Water Board says repair crews have been working to assess and fix the leak, and the break "will require substantial concrete work and is a result of outdated valve integrity, which the NFWB has been actively addressing in 2017."

A Niagara Falls Schools representative told us "NFHS will remain closed December 19th and 20th due to the water main break. No staff, no students."
