Wanted Buffalo man arrested in Jamestown

A 19-year-old Buffalo man, who was wanted for multiple armed robberies in the City of Buffalo, including the armed robbery of a Liberty Cab driver on March 16, was arrested Friday night in Jamestown.

According to Jamestown Police, Jordan W. Alexander was a passenger in a vehicle that Jamestown Police attempted to stop, but the driver kept going, leading to a pursuit that lasted more than an hour. Officers were advised that Alexander was holding the driver at gun point and would not allow the driver to stop.

The pursuit came to an end at Stowe and Falconer Streets.

Alexander was taken into custody by Jamestown Police and Buffalo Police filed detainer warrants for the crimes he was wanted on.

Alexander was charged with unlawful imprisonment, reckless endangerment and menacing by Jamestown Police.

He was arraigned in Jamestown and will be transferred into Buffalo Police custody. 

Alexander will be charged for the armed robbery of the Liberty Cab driver in Buffalo, as well two other armed robberies, according to Buffalo Police Captain Jeff Rinaldo.
