JDRF One Walk has a single goal of creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Sunday morning at Canaside, people walked to raise money for research for the millions affected by this disease.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly. It has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle.There is nothing you can do to prevent it and there is currently no cure.
That is where these walks come in. There are hundreds of JDRF One Walks across the country, where the money raised will support JDRF, the leading global organization funding T1D research.
