If you're heading to the Walden Galleria Wednesday morning, don't be shocked to see a heavy police presence.
The mall is holding a lockdown drill starting at 10:00AM.
"Walden Galleria and the Cheektowaga Police department actively meet to ensure that all parties are properly prepared should an emergency present itself," said Marissa Romano, the mall's Marketing Director. "The drills are run from time to time as a preventative measure to ensure the safety of our customers and employees alike."
We're told the drill will be initiated during open mall hours in order to simulate a realistic situation for mall employees, security and police.
