Vinyl factory burning in Port Colborne

Port Colborne firefighters responded to a fire at the VinylWorks plant in Canada Tuesday morning, according to the Welland Tribune. 

Port Colborne firefighters called in help from local departments including Niagara Falls. The Welland Tribune says, "among the vehicles responding were water tankers, which were filling up at the Port Colborne fire hall, and an aerial vehicle from Welland."

The Tribune reported the fire started "sometime after 7 a.m. and is continuing to burn." The cause of the fire is still unknown.

No injuries have been reported at this time. According to the Tribune, it's believed all factory employees were safely evacuated.
