Victim dies after rush-hour shooting on 190

One person is dead after a Monday evening shooting on the northbound 190 in Buffalo.

State police report the shooting happened about 6:15 p.m. Monday.

Police say the victim was traveling north on the 190 near Niagara Street.  That person was in a red Honda. We don't know if they were the driver or the passenger.

A second person in another car fired into the red Honda.  Police have not released any information about that car.

The shooting victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center where they later died.

The victim's name has not been released.

Police were investigating this shooting for a long period of time.  This was something that snarled traffic for hours.
