Don't give thieves a chance, lock your car doors, that's the message from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office.
The warning follows several recent larcenies, including two vehicles that were stolen. Sheriff's deputies say one of the vehicles had guns inside.
Deputies tell us the larcenies started on Monday, May 2nd, and it's believed the crooks are striking in the overnight hours, typically between 2 and 3am.
It may seem like common sense, but deputies are reminding people to lock their vehicles at all times, and do not store valuables, medications or firearms in your vehicle.
