A van carrying 12 Chinese tourists back to New York City from Niagara Falls was involved in a deadly three-car crash on Monday.

Around 8 a.m. on Route 36 in Mt. Morris in Livingston County, deputies say the van, driven by 26-year-old Lin Hou of Flushing, crossed into the northbound lane, hitting a car driven by 67-year-old Susan Migliore of Nunda head-on.

Migliore’s car was then rear-ended by an SUV driven by 39-year-old Richard Stanley of Redding, Pa.

Migliore was killed. Stanley was treated and released at the scene.

Fourteen ambulances responded to the scene. At least one occupant of the van had a broken femur, lumbar and ribs and is in guarded condition. The other dozen occupants had a range of injuries, including broken bones.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Criminal charges will be decided based on the investigation.
