The United State Secretary of Labor, Thomas “Tom” Perez was in Buffalo on Sunday campaigning for Hillary Clinton.

He spent much of Sunday talking to voters at Buffalo area businesses. Secretary Perez made a stop during his  visit to The Pochu Olivencia Center. He spoke at a Hillary Rally that was going on inside. About 100 Clinton supporters attended the event, including well know Western New York Democrat Leaders.

Buffalo Mayor, Byron Brown was also there to throw his support behind Clinton.

“The last few weeks the eyes of the nation has been on The City of Buffalo. The presidential candidates have been coming to Buffalo and Western New York, but we also know that only one candidate has represented this community,” Brown said.

Secretary Perez agreed with the mayor, that Clinton would represent Western New York well if she becomes president.

“I have ties to Western New York and Hillary Clinton is delivering in Western New York. The work she has done together with our congressman, mayor and so many other folks for the revitalization of downtown continues.”

The secretary is no stranger to Western New York. He is a Buffalo native and Canisius High School Alum.
