Coming to a small screen near you - the Dannemora prison escape that captivated our attention during the summer of 2015.

Deadline Hollywood reports actress Penelope Ann Miller will star in the Lifetime movie "Prison Break: The Joyce Mitchell Story."

Mitchell, a married mother of three, worked in the tailor shop at the Clinton Correctional Facility and helped convicted killers Richard Matt and David Sweat escape in June 2015.

Prosecutors say Matt and Sweat convinced Mitchell they were in love with her and used her to carry out their elaborate plan to break out of the maximum security prison. She was later convicted of criminal facilitation and promoting prison contraband and is now serving a seven-year prison sentence.

The escape triggered the largest manhunt in New York state history. Matt was shot and killed by police three weeks later in Malone, New York. The Tonawanda native was serving a life sentence for the brutal torture and killing of his boss, William Rickerson of North Tonawanda, in 1997.

Police located and shot Sweat two days after Matt was killed. He survived and is now serving the remainder of his life sentence.

The cable movie, which is being produced by Mountainair Films, is expected to debut next year.
