Buffalo Police say they have a 33-year-old man in custody after a standoff in North Buffalo late Tuesday morning.
Officers say they responded to a family dispute at a residence in the first block of Standish Road.
According to police, during the dispute the suspect hit his father with an object. The father was treated for minor injuries.
Officials say the 33-year-old son barricaded himself inside the house and refused to come out. Buffalo SWAT was called and with the help of negotiators, the man finally surrendered without incident almost three hours later.
The individual is in police custody. Charges are pending.
