One hundred twenty eight pounds of prescription pills were collected in Erie County on Saturday as part of the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
That's as many as 58,000 pills.
Unwanted prescription drugs were collected by the Erie County Sheriff's Office to take unwanted prescription drugs out of homes to destroy before they could be used to cause unintended harm to people and the environment.
These unwanted drugs can be taken to one a several drop-off boxes within the county throughout the year. See the map to find one near you.
