What a time to be an Uber driver! On July 18th, Uber will celebrate its new in-app tipping feature by matching tips given on trips in the U.S., including the Queen City.
Starting today in Buffalo, drivers and riders will see the new tipping feature in the Uber app. Riders can choose from suggested amounts or customize their own tip. They will now have the option to tip directly in the app up to 30 days after each trip.
Drivers who want to start accepting tips from riders should:
- Update or download the latest version of the Uber Driver app
- Close and restart the app
- Tap 'Accept Tips.'
Tips are voluntary and do not affect the driver or passenger ratings.
