BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - The University at Buffalo's Dental School will be offering free dental care for underprivileged children on Saturday, February 3.
This year, the annual Give Kids a Smile Day is expanding to include hearing loss screenings, healthy eating guidance and Medicaid enrollment support.
Throughout the day, kids will receive free dental exams, cleanings and fluoride treatment. If needed, they will also receive x-rays, fillings or extractions.
During the event, nurse practitioners will also be available to answer general health questions and dietitians will provide demonstrations on how to prepare healthy school lunches.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the UB South Campus at Squire Hall in Buffalo.
