Tyson recalling chicken nugget products

Tyson is recalling two different types of fully cooked chicken nugget products, over concerns they may be contaminated with hard plastic.

The items are:

  • 5-lb bag of "Tyson fully cooked Panko Chicken Nuggets" with a "Best If Used By" date of July 18th, 2017 and cacse code 2006SDL03 and 2006SDL33
  • 20-lb bulk packages of "Spare time fully cooked, panko chicken nuggets, nugget shaped chicken breast pattie fritters with rib meat" with a production date of July 18th, 2016 and case code 2006SDL03.

The five-pound bags were sold nationally.

According to Tyson, the pieces of plastic may be up to 21mm in length and 6.5mm in diameter.

If you have these products -- you're asked to either throw them away, or return them to the place of purchase.
