Erie County Sheriff's are investigating a fatal crash on Southwestern Boulevard in the Town of Brant.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Erie County Sheriff's received a call about a two-vehicle crash. Investigators say that the operator of one of the vehicles, 67-year old Kathleen Lewis of Volant, Pennsylvania was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers also tell us Lewis' granddaughters were taken to John R. Oishei Children's Hospital. No word on their conditions.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved in the crash were taken to ECMC for non-life threatening injuries. Both of these occupants are from Kentucky.
Erie County Sheriff's sent a therapy dog to the hospital to comfort the children who were injured in the crash.
