Two teenagers are being treated for injuries after a car accident Monday in Genesee County.
Sheriff's deputies responded to the crash just before 6 p.m. in the area of Maltby and North Pearl Street roads in the Town of Oakfield. Deputies say their 2013 BMW 3201 went off the road and struck a tree.
The 17-year-old driver, Isaac Mejia, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, and his passenger, 16-year-old Damien Bush, was taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight.
Investigators believe speed was a factor. The accident remains under investigation and charges may be pending.
