Two troopers were hit from the back while on scene at a single vehicle property damage incident on Interstate 90.

The collision happened around 5:15 a.m. this morning. A separate car traveling eastbound on I-90 struck both troopers as they responded to a damaged vehicle being towed. The damaged vehicle was located in the median eastbound at mile post marker 7.7 in the Town of East Greenbush.

One trooper landed about 100 feet away in the median area. The other trooper was thrown and pinned under the tow truck. Both officers were transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where they are currently listed in serious but stable condition.
