Two police officers, one civilian injured in crash in Buffalo

UPDATE: Buffalo Police report they now have an individual in custody in connection with the overnight accident involving an officer. 

Police say the driver's vehicle was stolen.

The 25-year-old male driver of Buffalo and the stolen vehicle are in police custody. Officials say charges are being finalized at this time.

One of the officers treated at ECMC has been released. 

Original: Buffalo Police confirm that at 2:20 a.m. Thursday morning two officers and one civilian were injured following a multi-vehicle accident on Bailey Avenue and Doat Place. 

First responders, including AMR, Buffalo Fire Department and Buffalo Police Department responded to the scene. They found two vehicles with heavy damage, including a police cruiser. The cruiser had come to rest against a pole. Officers remained on the scene for several hours investigating.

All three people were taken to ECMC for treatment. Both officers are being treated for non-lifethreatening injuries. 

No word yet on the status of the civilian's injuries, nor what led to the initial accident.
