Two Rochester men are now facing criminal charges in connection to the deaths of two children at Letchworth State Park in June.
According to the Wyoming County District Attorney, 34-year-old Tyler Jennings and 32-year-old Chad Staley were indicted for manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say the men and five children were in a restricted area of Letchworth State Park, near the Lower Falls, when the water swept all seven people over the 70 foot waterfall. Two of the children, 9-year-old Dylan Giangregorio and 6-year-old Preston Giangregorio, did not survive the fall.
Police say the other three children who also went over the falls suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say both Jennings and Staley have been released on their own recognizance until their next court appearance.
