Buffalo Police are investigating an overnight officer-involved accident that happened on the 198 and 33 when a civilian car hit a patrol vehicle.
Police say it was just before 3 a.m. when two officers were handling a previous accident call. The two officers were in their patrol vehicle when it was struck by an oncoming car. The BPD officers were taken to ECMC to be treated.
The driver that struck the patrol vehicle is in police custody, according to authorities.
No word on the extent of the officers' injuries nor whether they have been released from ECMC.
