Two arrested from home after police find stolen gun, drugs in plain sight

Jamestown Police say they found a stolen gun and drugs when they checked a wellbeing call on Forest Avenue on Sunday.

Officers were called to 248 Forest Avenue at 8:47 p.m. after a report of a woman being threatened with a shotgun earlier in the day.

When officers arrived they say they found Todd Dalton, 32, inside with Jacqueline Delo, 32, who both denied the incident. However, officers say they saw all of the following in plain sight: a loaded shotgun, a digital scale with powder residue, plastic baggies known to be used for drug sales, a small quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine, 43 grams or marijuana and multiple prescription pills.

After investigating, police say the shotgun had been reported stolen the previous day from a burglary in Jamestown.

Police took both people into custody and charged them with criminal possession of a weapon, eight counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of stolen property. Delo was additionally charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

Both were put in Chautauqua County Jail.
