It was a frantic scene in Niagara Falls Friday night. Twenty people are now without a home after their building on Niagara Street went up in flames.
According to police, the fire broke out right after 7 p.m. on the 2100 block. The fire chief said that people were hanging out of windows and eventually jumping to escape.
Firefighters were able to get everyone out of the building, but two people were injured. One of the injuries is from smoke inhalation and the other is from trying to jump to safety.
Crews are still trying to figure out what ignited the flames.
